The Chairman of the Christian Royal Fathers of Nigeria, His Eminence Eze Nnamdi Ofoegbu, has announced plans by the organisation to declare prayers for its endorsed candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Eze Ofoegbu said the planned prayer initiative would be aimed at committing the candidates into God’s hands as they prepare for the forthcoming elections.
The initiative underscores the importance the organisation places on prayer, divine guidance and the need for peaceful political participation as the country approaches another electoral cycle.
According to the royal father, the organisation intends to offer spiritual support to the candidates it has endorsed, with the expectation that they will demonstrate purposeful leadership and remain committed to the welfare and development of the people.
The move also highlights the role religious and traditional institutions can play in encouraging peaceful elections and responsible leadership.
As political activities gather momentum ahead of 2027, the proposed prayers are expected to serve as a spiritual platform for seeking divine direction for the endorsed candidates.
