The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has officially activated the process for candidates seeking to change their institution or course of choice following the conclusion of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
According to the announcement, candidates who wish to make adjustments to their preferred institution or academic programme can now begin the process by visiting any approved and accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centre across the country.
The board advised applicants to ensure that all changes are carried out only at authorized CBT centres to avoid errors, fraud, or invalid modifications during the admission process.
The change of institution and course option provides candidates with the opportunity to reconsider their earlier choices based on their UTME performance, admission requirements, or personal preferences. It also allows students to improve their chances of securing admission into tertiary institutions that align with their academic goals.
Prospective candidates are encouraged to verify the admission requirements of their preferred institutions before making any adjustments to avoid complications during the admission exercise.
Education stakeholders have described the activation of the process as an important step that offers flexibility to students while ensuring a smoother and more transparent admission system.
