Obi Aguocha, the member representing Ikwuano/Umuahia North/Umuahia South Federal Constituency, paid a courtesy visit to the Council of Traditional Rulers of Umuahia South, Umuahia North and Ikwuano Local Government Area. The engagement took place at the Traditional Rulers’ Chambers respectively located in the three Local Government.

The visit was primarily organized to formally present Rt. Hon. Obi Aguocha to the traditional rulers and to seek their prayers, goodwill, and support as he prepares for the 2027 general elections. It also served as an avenue to strengthen ties between political leadership and traditional institutions in the area.

The Mayor of Umuahia South LGA, Hon. Engr. Chinedu Enwereuzo, received the delegation in Umuahia South warmly and expressed appreciation for the visit. He commended the unity displayed by both the visiting and host royal fathers, noting that such collaboration reflects a shared commitment to peace and development in the local government area. He also officially declared the meeting open and praised Ndi Eze for their continued support for government initiatives.

Speaking during the meeting, Eze Nnamdi Ofoegbu, representing Ndi Eze from Ohuhu Umuahia North, lauded the administration of Governor Alex Otti for what he described as improved governance and impactful leadership across Abia State. Hon. Obi Aguocha. Contributing further, His Royal Majesty, Eze Godfrey Chikwendu Ibeakanma (Eze Ukwu I of Ezeleke), reiterated the non-partisan role of traditional rulers, stressing their commitment to leaders whose policies promote community welfare. He expressed support for Governor Alex Otti’s administration and encouraged continued alignment with its development-driven agenda.

Obi Aguocha for his humanitarian contributions and dedication to his constituents. He offered prayers for divine guidance for all leaders and voiced support for the continuation of Governor Otti’s administration and allied political structures.

Former Mayor of Umuahia South, Attorney Nochiri Obike, also described Rt. Hon. Obi Aguocha as a compassionate and responsive representative. He encouraged constituents to support his re-election bid, stating that continuity would enhance the delivery of more development projects and federal opportunities to the constituency.

In his response, Rt. Hon. Obi Aguocha expressed gratitude to Ndi Eze Ohuhu and Ndi Eze Ikwuano/Umuahia for their support, prayers, and hospitality. He reaffirmed his commitment to effective representation, promising to continue prioritizing the welfare of his constituents.
