Adeniyi Adeyemi, the Director General of the alleged fake Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council in Osun State, has been arrested by the police following the issuance of a bench warrant by a competent court.
The arrest took place just hours after the court ordered law enforcement authorities to take Adeyemi into custody over matters linked to the activities of the controversial organization, which has been accused of falsely presenting itself as an official presidential body.
A video circulating online shows police officers questioning Adeyemi shortly after his arrest. The footage captures the suspect responding to questions from investigators as authorities begin the process of probing the allegations against him.
The Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council has been at the center of public controversy after reports emerged that it allegedly operated without legal recognition while portraying itself as an official government institution. The arrest of its Director General marks a significant development in the ongoing investigation.
