The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) has officially announced the commencement of its 2026 nationwide recruitment exercise, inviting suitably qualified Nigerians to apply for various positions across the Commission.
According to the recruitment notice issued by the FRSC Headquarters in Abuja, the application process is completely free of charge, and the Commission has warned prospective applicants to avoid fraudsters demanding payment for employment opportunities.
The recruitment drive is aimed at strengthening the Commission’s workforce as it continues to promote road safety administration and traffic management across Nigeria.
Available vacancies span three major categories, including the Officer Cadre, Marshal Inspectorate Cadre, and Road Marshal Assistant Cadre, with opportunities for graduates, diploma holders, SSCE certificate holders, and skilled artisans.
the Officer Cadre, positions include Superintendent Route Commander (SRC), Route Commander/Deputy Route Commander (RC/DRC), and Assistant Route Commander (ARC). Applicants for these roles must possess relevant university degrees from recognized institutions, have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme or possess a valid exemption certificate, and fall within the specified age limits.
The Marshal Inspectorate Cadre is open to candidates with qualifications such as NCE, ND, HND, RN/RM, or Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW) certificates from recognized institutions.
For the Road Marshal Assistant Cadre, applicants with at least three SSCE credits, including English Language and Mathematics, as well as skilled professionals such as drivers, mechanics, electricians, plumbers, computer operators, motorcycle riders, and other artisans, are encouraged to apply.
The Commission stated that drivers must possess the appropriate class of valid driver’s licence, while articulated vehicle and tow truck drivers must be between 26 and 40 years of age.
General Requirements
Applicants are expected to:
Be Nigerian by birth.
Be computer literate.
Be medically, physically, and mentally fit.
Possess a valid National Driver’s Licence where applicable.
Present genuine academic and professional certificates.
Have a minimum height of 1.65 metres for males and 1.58 metres for females.
Be of good character and free from criminal convictions or financial indebtedness.
Have no tattoos on any part of the body.
Provide a functional phone number and email address during registration.
The FRSC also advised that pregnant women should not apply for the recruitment exercise.
Applications must be submitted online only through the FRSC recruitment portal. Shortlisted candidates will be required to present printed copies of their application forms during the screening exercise.

The application window will remain open for four weeks beginning Friday, July 3, 2026.
