Femi Fani-Kayode has reportedly been replaced by Senator Ita Enang as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Germany amid fresh diplomatic reshuffle reports.
Former Minister of Aviation Femi Fani-Kayode has reportedly been replaced by Ita Enang as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Germany, according to recent reports circulating in the media.
The development comes weeks after reports by Peoples Gazette alleged that the German government declined to accept Fani-Kayode, popularly known as FFK, as Nigeria’s envoy to Berlin.
Although the Federal Government has yet to officially clarify the circumstances surrounding the change, Senator Ita Enang is now expected to assume diplomatic duties at the Nigerian Embassy in Berlin in the coming weeks.
Enang was initially designated as Nigeria’s Ambassador to South Africa before the latest adjustment in the country’s diplomatic postings. Sources familiar with the reshuffle indicate that the reassignment forms part of broader efforts to reposition Nigeria’s foreign missions across key countries.
Meanwhile, the same report suggested that Fani-Kayode may be redeployed to South Africa as Nigeria’s ambassador, although there has been no formal confirmation regarding his next diplomatic assignment.
