The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has appointed Dr Ayo Abdulrahaman as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
The appointment comes as the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League season officially kicked off on Friday, marking a new development in the administration and management of the country’s top-flight domestic football competition.
Dr Abdulrahaman is expected to play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the NPFL, working towards strengthening the league’s administration, improving organisational efficiency and supporting the continued growth of professional football in Nigeria.
