Nigeria has been thrown into mourning following reports that retired Major General Abubakar Rabe, who was abducted in Katsina State two weeks ago, has died.
The retired senior military officer was reportedly kidnapped alongside his wife while travelling through the Matazu area of Katsina State. The couple was said to be on their way to attend a wedding ceremony when armed abductors intercepted their vehicle and took them captive.
