16 Lawmakers Defect from ADC to NDC in House of Representatives

At least 16 members of the House of Representatives of Nigeria on Tuesday announced their defection from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to the National Democratic Congress (NDC), in what observers describe as a notable shift in the country’s legislative landscape.

The defections were formally declared during plenary, with the lawmakers citing political realignment and the need to pursue what they described as a more compatible platform for their legislative and constituency priorities.
