The Abia State Government has announced that Governor Alex Otti will deliver a special statewide broadcast to mark the 35th anniversary of the creation of Abia State.
According to a public service announcement issued on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, the Governor’s address will take place on Thursday, August 27, at exactly 7:00 a.m.
The broadcast will be transmitted through radio stations across Abia State, allowing residents and stakeholders throughout the state to listen to the Governor’s anniversary message.
Governor Otti is expected to reflect on Abia State’s 35-year journey, highlighting significant developments and milestones recorded since the state was created. He will also discuss the achievements and priorities of his administration while presenting his broader vision for what he describes as “The Rise of a New Abia.”
The anniversary address is expected to provide an opportunity for the Governor to speak directly to Abians about the state’s progress, ongoing transformation and future prospects.
The Abia State Government has therefore encouraged all Abians, residents, friends of Abia and other stakeholders to tune in to radio stations across the state and listen to the Governor’s special anniversary broadcast.
