President Tinubu Swears In New Commissioners for RMAFC and National Population Commission
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially sworn in new federal commissioners for the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) and the National Population Commission (NPC), reinforcing the leadership of two key federal institutions.
The swearing-in ceremony was held on Monday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja shortly before the commencement of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting presided over by the President.
Among those inaugurated as commissioners of the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission are Amina Gamawa, representing Bauchi State, and Abdullahi Mukhtar Mohammed from Kaduna State. Mohammed is the immediate past Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) and brings extensive public service experience to the commission.
The Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission is constitutionally responsible for monitoring revenue accruals, reviewing the nation’s revenue allocation formula, and advising the federal government on fiscal matters.
President Tinubu also administered the oath of office to six newly appointed commissioners of the National Population Commission, the agency responsible for population data collection, demographic research, and the conduct of national censuses.
The newly sworn-in NPC commissioners are:
- Kolawole Oladipupo Alabi – Ekiti State
- Nasiru Mu’azu – Zamfara State
- Isaka Alada Yahaya – Kwara State
- Prof. Sadiq Isah Radda – Katsina State
- Suleiman Umar – Jigawa State
- Chiso Abdullahi Dattijo – Sokoto State
The appointments are expected to strengthen the operations of both commissions as the federal government continues efforts to improve governance, revenue management, fiscal planning, and demographic data administration across Nigeria.
The inauguration underscores the Tinubu administration’s commitment to filling strategic positions in federal institutions to enhance efficiency and support national development objectives.
