BREAKING: US Court Tightens Pressure on Pirro, Sets August 21 Deadline for Tinubu Records

A United States federal court has given U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro an additional four days to comply with an order concerning records linked to allegations of drug-trafficking activities involving Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

U.S. District Judge Beryl A. Howell reportedly issued the directive after Pirro sought a 10-day extension to produce documents held by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).

According to information disclosed by Dr. Von Batten-Montague-York in a post on X on Tuesday, Judge Howell granted only four additional days, setting August 21, 2026, as the deadline for compliance.

The judge reportedly noted that the underlying case has remained pending for more than three years, indicating the court’s desire to bring the matter forward without further delays.

Von Batten-Montague-York welcomed the decision, describing it as a renewed push by Pirro and the Justice Department to release the records. He argued that the documents concerning the allegations should now be made available, while stressing that strategic relations between the United States and Nigeria should not prevent the disclosure of records ordered by the court.

The controversy centres on records allegedly held by U.S. federal law-enforcement agencies concerning claims involving Tinubu. However, the materials in question have not been publicly released, and the allegations contained in the records should not be treated as established facts unless confirmed through official findings or court proceedings.

The latest development comes amid continued public interest in the legal proceedings and the potential release of documents connected to the allegations.

As of the latest report, neither the U.S. Department of Justice nor Pirro’s office had publicly issued a statement on the court’s decision to grant only a four-day extension.

The August 21 deadline could therefore become a significant point in the long-running case, depending on whether the records are released, further legal arguments are filed, or additional court action follows.
