A tragic incident has occurred in Aba, Abia State, after a barrow pusher was reportedly found dead at ATUMA House, opposite St. Paul’s 104 on Aba–Owerri Road.
According to reports, the deceased was believed to have been resting inside his barrow after the day’s work when he passed away. Witnesses said he remained in the same position until his lifeless body was discovered the following day, prompting concerned residents to alert the appropriate authorities.
Officials from the Environmental Health Department of the Osisioma Ngwa Local Government Health Authority responded to the scene and evacuated the body. The remains have since been deposited at the Abia State University Teaching Hospital (ABSUTH), Ahiaba Umueze, pending identification and further necessary procedures.


Authorities are appealing to members of the public who may know the deceased or have information that could help identify him to contact the Head of the Environmental Health Services Department at the Osisioma Ngwa Local Government Health Authority.
